Love = Ice Cream + Pizza

Love is transcendent

Via Mike Birbiglia's blog :

"Eventually, I fell in love with someone and it was reciprocated, which is the greatest feeling you can possibly imagine. It's like eating pizza…ice cream. Your brain can't even process how good it is. And love makes people do crazy things like kill people or shop at Crate & Barrel. And it makes us all a little delusional. I think deep down we think we have a secret special skill that no one knows about and if they knew they'd be amazed because our secret special skill is amazing. And then eventually we meet someone who says, "You have a secret special skill." And you're like "I know!" She's like, "So do you!" and you're like, "I know." And then you're like, "we should eat pizza-ice cream together." And that's love is, it's a mountain of Ben & Jerry's and delusion."

Dave Brown: Discovery

I think discovery, enhancing our lives, and sharing these findings with others is part of what makes us human.

Via Lifehacker , an interview with Dave Brown (band publicist for Death Cab for Cutie)

"I'm really obsessed with discovery. Whether it's a new song, gadget, t-shirt, iPhone app...it's still one of the best feelings in the world to find something new and useful and incredibly clever."
